Course Description

Add to your Speech and Debate experience with this preparatory course, perfect for students looking to join their school’s Speech and Debate program and even tournaments! Our goals are to teach students the importance of speech, how it can be applied to everyday life, and the lessons and skills we gain from it. We will work to further students’ social-emotional intelligence by fostering communication, teamwork, constructive feedback, listening ability, and empathy. Students will learn the technicalities of speech: blocking, popping, melting, and be able to compete in Interpretation topics.
