2026 "Summer in Inner Mongolia"
China-U.S. Youth Inner Mongolia Agricultural University Academic Exchange Camp
May 18 to May 29, 2026 (12 days, including arrival and departure). Participants generally enter China via Beijing and depart from Beijing upon the conclusion of the program. Please note that participants are responsible for all expenses and personal safety during any independent travel beyond the scope of the program.
Inner Mongolia Agricultural University will cover all expenses for students during their stay in China, including catering, accommodation, domestic transportation, courses, and related costs. A limited number of scholarships are available, which will be awarded to accepted applicants based on their merit and demonstrated need, as outlined in their application statements. Students are responsible for their travel expenses between China and their place of departure. Additionally, any expenses incurred for extended stays in China beyond the program’s conclusion must be borne by the students themselves.

Participants will visit China’s capital city with opportunities to explore both ancient and modern attractions. The itinerary includes visiting the Great Wall to appreciate ancient Chinese architectural achievements, exploring Peking University for academic exchanges with student organizations, and experiencing modern China at the Olympic Park. The program also allows for cultural immersion in Beijing’s unique urban landscape.
The program features deep academic engagement in Hohhot, including campus activities at Inner Mongolia Agricultural University with lectures on grassland ecology and sustainable development. Participants will visit leading enterprises like Yili Health Valley for dairy industry insights and Mengcao Group for ecological restoration projects. Cultural experiences include exploring the Inner Mongolia Museum and Hohhot’s urban development exhibitions, plus a day trip to Huitengxile Grassland for ecological field study and cultural exchange with local herders.
The journey continues to Chifeng for unique cultural experiences, featuring Hongshan Culture immersion with academic workshops on this significant archaeological culture and hands-on jade artifact experiences. Participants will visit historical sites including Kalaqin Prince’s Mansion for Manchu-Mongolian history, engage in traditional calligraphy workshops, and participate in a joint achievement exhibition showcasing the program outcomes.

Inner Mongolia Agricultural University will purchase comprehensive medical insurance in China for all international students.
