2026 Jiangsu American Youth Camp

Fee:The camp is free, but we charge a $500 application fee.

Program Overview:
Jiangsu America Youth Camp initiative designed to foster international exchange, cultural understanding, and educational collaboration between Jiangsu, China, and American students. Explore the beauty, history, and educational excellence of Jiangsu Province through this unique and immersive experience.
What includes:
- Registration fee & Tuition fee;
- Housing, Meals, Transportation during the camp
- Field trips and cultural activities in Jiangsu;
- Basic accident and medical insurance for the stay in Jiangsu.
- International airfare.
Participant students are required to cover:

- Adequate personal medical insurance for staying in China;

Program Highlights:
- Cultural Immersion: Discover Jiangsu’s rich historical and cultural heritage through visits to iconic sites such as the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Confucius Temple, and Yangzhou’s Ancient Town.
- Educational Exchange: Participate in classes at renowned schools like Nanjing Foreign Language School and Wuxi No.1 High School. Experience traditional Chinese courses and engage in joint cultural activities with local students.
- Industry and Innovation: Explore Jiangsu’s high-tech industries, visit leading enterprises, and learn about the province’s economic development.
- City Tours: Visit famous cities like Suzhou, Wuxi, and Nanjing, each with its own unique charm and history, showcasing Jiangsu’s diversity and modernity.
Sample Schedule:
Note:The confirmed itinerary will be provided after all participating campers have confirmed.
- Day 1: Arrival in Shanghai, transfer to Jiangsu city for school orientation.
- Day 2: School visit and Chinese language class immersion.
- Day 3–4: Cultural tours to local museums, historical sites, and participation in traditional Chinese activities.
- Day 5: Arrival in Nanjing, educational and cultural exchange.
- Day 6–7: Cultural visits in Nanjing: Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Nanjing Museum, and Mendong Old Town area.
- Day 8: Airport Drop off
Process:
- Fill out the form and make the payment. We will submit the information to the organizer for review. Students who do not pass the review will receive a refund. Students who pass will receive a formal invitation letter.
- We will assist everyone with their visa applications in collaboration with Consulate General of The People’s Republic of China in San Francisco. After the visas are approved, we will coordinate with the organizer to collectively purchase flight tickets.
- As the departure date approaches, you will receive important information and reminders.
- You will meet with the teachers at the airport to begin the journey together.

Frequently Asked Questions
No, proficiency in Chinese is not required. The camp is conducted in English, and anyone interested in Chinese culture is welcome to join.
U.S. citizens in grades 9-12 are eligible. Students will attend independently.
This camp is primarily for students, although the opening and closing ceremonies may be held together with other groups. However, the activities in between will be mainly for our group. The total number of participants will be 20-40. The student-to-teacher ratio is 1:10.
The chaperones will be comprised of Big Bang staff or local high school teachers.
We will be staying in a 4-star hotel, with two students sharing each room.
This camp is sponsored by the Jiangsu provincial government, which will handle all reception arrangements.
There is no refund for this camp. Application fee is non-refundable once paid.
